Abstract

The "Hainan Tropical Rainforest and Li Ethnic Group Traditional Settlements" World Heritage application project has been officially presented to the UNESCO World Heritage Center by pertinent Chinese authorities. The traditional settlements of the Li ethnic group epitomize the structural attributes of the early Li society and stand as a quintessential representation of tropical island tribal habitats. Consequently, delving into their intrinsic worth carries immense importance, not only for the pursuit of a global "double heritage" recognition but also for the preservation and perpetuation of Li ethnic culture.
