Abstract

The development and adaptation of a group-therapy intervention for individuals with internet gaming disorder into a digital format are explored in this study. Leveraging content from a former group therapy program, the intervention was tailored for online delivery, with a focus on enhancing usability and treatment adherence. Usability assessments of the newly developed mindfulness-based online intervention are conducted to evaluate its effectiveness in addressing internet gaming disorder. Additionally, gamification principles are implemented to increase motivation and treatment adherence among participants. The study scrutinizes the usability and effectiveness of the digital intervention in supporting individuals suffering from internet gaming disorder.
