The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted widespread mask-wearing to reduce disease transmission. While masks are effective in blocking infectious particles, prolonged use can lead to facial skin issues due to factors like pressure, heat, humidity, and friction. This study surveyed individuals in Hainan, a tropical region, who have been wearing masks for an extended duration. The research aimed to assess the prevalence of facial skin problems among mask wearers in tropical climates during the pandemic. The findings offer insights into protecting facial skin health in such regions.
